Dental AssistantOur team is COVID-19 compliant and takes all necessary precautions to keep our patients safe during their visits. Our head dentist has over 8 years of experience and has treated thousands of emergency patients. From toothaches to extractions to root canals, we have the expertise and technology to quickly restore your smile. Our practice also has stringent sterilization protocols in place to protect both patients and staff from the transfer of COVID-19. However, if you are feeling sick or believe you have COVID-19, we ask that you postpone your visit until you have fully recovered.

There are several ways we can assist you during a dental emergency. The first step is to schedule an emergency exam also called a “limited exam”. If your emergency requires treatment, we are equipped to address nearly all dental emergencies at our office. If you are experiencing a dental emergency, please call us right away.

In the meantime, here are some tips for handling common dental emergencies:

  • Tooth xraySudden swelling in the mouth: This could be a sign of an abscessed tooth, which can be a serious and potentially life-threatening condition. Seek medical attention immediately.
  • Broken or chipped tooth: Rinse your mouth with warm water and try to keep the tooth if possible. Apply an ice pack to the affected area and seek immediate medical attention.
  • Loose tooth: This is usually caused by trauma or periodontal disease. Take over-the-counter pain medication. Seek immediate medical attention for the best chance of saving the tooth.
  • Broken or lost crown or filling: Keep the crown or filling if you still have it and bring it with you to the dentist. Use dental cement or clove oil to alleviate sensitivity and seek medical attention as soon as possible.
  • Sudden toothache: Rinse your mouth with warm water and gently floss around the affected tooth to remove any trapped food. If the pain persists, seek medical attention for an x-ray to identify the underlying cause.
  • Bleeding gums: Rinse your mouth with warm salt water and apply gentle pressure to the affected area with a clean cloth. If the bleeding persists, seek medical attention.

We will do our best to provide same-day treatment in most cases. Thank you for choosing our practice for your emergency dental needs.
